POL-04 Occupational Health and Safety Policy
Objective and Scope
The Occupational Health and Safety Policy adopted by Mioro A.Ş. is based on respect for people and the environment in which they live. Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is the top priority in every field where Mioro operates, expressing this understanding with the slogan ‘work safely, stay healthy’. To ensure a safe and healthy working environment, everyone is responsible for doing what is necessary within their authority. One of our most important goals is to protect all our employees and the environment from potential risks in our industry.
Responsibilities
The Employer/Employer Representative, Occupational Safety Specialist, and Workplace Physician are responsible.
Implementation
•In the workplace and its annexes, to ensure the health and safety of employees, subcontractors, visitors, and company personnel working outside the workplace, to take all necessary measures in accordance with the current OHS legislation and other related requirements, to provide and ensure the use of tools, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary,
•To identify and eliminate unsafe conditions and actions that may cause workplace accidents and occupational diseases, to identify potential accident risks through effective risk assessment,
•To identify risks of workplace accidents and occupational diseases and to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of employees, visitors, and subcontractors at all levels,
•To educate our employees in the field of occupational health and safety and ensure that they reach a good level of occupational health and safety awareness,
•To ensure that workplace visitors comply with the occupational health and safety rules set by Mioro A.Ş.,
•To anticipate possible situations that may arise in the future considering the development of the industrial world, to continuously improve and review our situation,
•We undertake to ensure the continuity of our OHS Management System established and implemented accordingly.
•All Mioro employees and parties defined in the Environmental Management System are expected to comply with this policy and the Environmental Management System implementing this policy. This document is the responsibility of the OHS Management Representative and the OHS Management System has been prepared to meet all requirements. The current version of the document is open to use and review by all personnel determined by senior management.
